Ляо Ху-й, видимо, не выступит на Олимпиаде...
По той причине, что он попался на допинге в 2011 году и пропустил Лондонскую Олимпиаду... теперь его за это же и в Лондон допускать не хотят...
Маразм высшей степени...

Liao Hui to miss Rio?
Submitted 2 days ago * by Vaichyon
Rumours over Liao Hui possibly missing the 2016 Olympics have been circulating--hopefully this post will put them to rest. These are two articles from Chinese media over this topic:
1. Impact of Liao Hui's ban echoes to this day, Liao Hui may miss Rio
Fenghuang Sports News: The Rio Olympics are less than a month away, and China's team lists for various sports have likewise been announced. Regarding the increasing rumours over Beijing Olympic champion Liao Hui possibly missing Rio, detailed analysis have revealed that they may not have been wrongly placed. In 2013, the Chinese Olympic committee announced rules regarding athlete selection, specifically that athletes previously suspended for doping violations will not be allowed to participate in the next Olympic Games. As Liao Hui's urine samples tested positive in 2011, he may indeed miss Rio.
Yesterday the Chinese Weightlifting Team issued its final announcement prior to Rio. Vice-head coach Yu Jie, in a press conference, mentioned the performance of six athletes this summer: Long Qingquan (-56 kg), Chen Lijun (-62 kg), Shi Zhiyong (-69 kg), Lü Xiaojun (-77 kg), Tian Tao (-85 kg) and Yang Zhe (-105 kg). He stressed the men's -69 kg division as China's favourite for the gold medal, but made no mention of the world record holder in this class, Liao Hui. As to why Liao Hui has not been training with the national team, Yu Jie explained that Liao Hui was unsuitably conditioned.
Liao Hui won the gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but was banned from international competition for two years due to having been tested positive in 2011 for doping. In 2013 he announced a champion's return, winning three gold medals and breaking the 10-year-old clean and jerk world record as well as the total world record that stood for almost 14 years. In this April's National Championships and Olympic Trials, he expectedly took three gold medals with a 158 kg snatch, 196 kg clean and jerk and 354 kg total, and thus became the first choice for Rio.
His perseverance, if anything, was but to participate in the Olympics once more. Were he to miss Rio, the next news we hear from the 29-year-old veteran may be his retirement.
2. Weightlifting star Liao Hui to miss Rio due to regulations (first half of article about Chinese swimmer Ning Zetao in a similar conundrum, which I skipped in the following translation)
According to Tengxun Sports's understanding, and confirmed by coaches, renowned weightlifting athlete Liao Hui's withdrawal from the Rio Olympics has been confirmed since late May due to Olympic provisions. Liao Hui is a Beijing Olympic champion, but missed the London Olympics due to being banned for 4 years as a result of testing positive for doping following the [2010] World Championships.
After returning and winning two consecutive world championships in 2013 and 2014, he was made the first choice for Olympic participation following the trials this April, and can be said to be a favourite for gold at Rio. However, due to conflicts with rules stipulated in the '2016 Olympics Organisation and Management Plan'*, it is confirmed that Liao Hui shall miss the Rio Olympics. Liao Hui reportedly broke down in tears upon receiving the news, and his coach was likewise sympathetic. Nevertheless, the decision by the State General Administration of Sports to execute such regulations appears to be extraordinarily resolute.
*I would greatly appreciate if anyone can provide the exact name and details of this plan
TL;DR Liao Hui to miss Rio due to new doping regulations, but officially due to 'injury'
